Inertia Means Death

Some passengers and crew have inadvertently entered Codgerspace. The tangible threat of this regression to our overall well-being is evident. These statements echo through the ship.

"We don't need to change."

"We're change-addicted."

"It seems like we're just changing for change."

"What place does ______ have here?"

"What's wrong with just being about books?"

"Let's just stay the course."

Inertia is the physical law that objects in motion stay in motion and objects at rest stay at rest--unless they are altered by other objects or forces. We must think in four or more dimensions and adjust our course accordingly. Sensors indicate that current degrading orbits will take us into the local supernova. We must accelerate and plot new vectors to avoid shockwaves, as well as advance our mission of exploration and service to sentient beings. Opportunities abound with wormholes throughout the multiverse. We must seek and step through these portals, regardless of danger, to enable the preservation of our species.
