Leading is Following

To lead you must follow and speak from behind. Bow trained and drawn; foundation formed and setting; you must adhere to the ad hoc strategy of followers in front. All squares must be rounded. Castles must erode to caves, and the caverns will become labyrinths like the infinite binary language of synapses. There is no pseudo-science here--only beatific vision. Another cataloger will always see the imperfection of your method. Another librarian will see the flaw in your provision. All are errors. The heart must be service. The head must be willing to do anything. Let the American Library Association burn out like a red giant. Toss your ego in the flames, and see what a boundless universe the unlit eve can show you.
